The 352nd Fighter Squadron, LLC was formed in March of 2007 in honor of the 352nd Fighter Squadron of the 353rd Fighter Group- 8th AF. The squadron's purpose is to provide realistic education to students and the general public. Our mission statement is simple, "Educate in honor of the greatest generation from the ground up."
The 352nd demonstrates our aircraft at the hardstand, in flight, and within the cockpit. We currently maintain and utilize the following aircraft for instruction:
L-3B Aeronca 1943 (World War II Vintage)
P-51D Mustang (Loehle Replica Aircraft)
Challenger II (Utility Aircraft)
Ercoupe 415 (Pending)
We donate our time and aircraft at the request of family and veterans for memorial fly-overs, and graveside flower petal drops. We also encourage elementary, middle, and high school field trips to enhance classes with realistic aviation history. The 21st Century ends at the airfield gated entrance!
We are currently based at Shiflet Field 9A9, Marion, North Carolina. The field was established in 1928 and smells of aviation history. Ghosts still touch and go down the grass strip. Please click onto the directions link for more information on how to find the squadron.
Thank you so much for your interest. Some of our operating cost are through the 352nd Fighter Squadron shirt sales. However, operating funds- not donations, are humbly accepted.
To the men who saddled the aluminum and steel... War Horses.
